Ministries

In addition to the regular weekly schedule, a variety of activities, outings, services, trips, fellowships, and special projects are scheduled each month. Our ministries include:

Sunday School

Our Sunday School offers a class for every age group. Children and teens meet for helpful Bible lessons in small group settings. Our Sunday School teachers love children and have many years of experience.

Adult Bible Study Groups

There are five different classes for adult Bible study. In addition to practical Bible study there is a wonderful fellowship and friendship among the members of these smaller classes.

Worship Services

The collective worship services of our church family are the highlights of the week. The friendly atmosphere, uplifting music, testimonies, prayer time, and fellowship prepare hearts and minds for the Bible message from our Pastor.

Music

If you enjoy good music, you will love Maranatha Baptist Church. Music is a key aspect of every service and age group. The big Church Choir will warm your heart each Sunday. The collective singing of the congregation is a wonderful unification of hearts toward God. A wide variety of groups and soloists present special music in every service.

Children’s Church

Sometimes young children have a difficult time in a worship service that is designed for teens and adults. That is why on Sunday mornings we offer Junior Church for children. They sing, give offerings have testimonies and hear the Bible message – just like “big church” but for kids.

Active Christian Teens

A.C.T. is the youth ministry of Maranatha for teens in grades 7-12. This is a fast-paced, high energy program featuring games, skits, video segments, singing, prayer, and topical discussions of issues facing teens. We believe that Bible principles are the key tools that teens need in order to live a successful life. The teen group has regular outings, rallies and activities that involve sports, food, Christian service and fun.

AWANA Clubs

The AWANA program is for children age 3 up to the 6th grade. Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for young people. Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material. Clubbers learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He expressed that love through Jesus Christ. This is an activity-based youth training program that includes games, contests, awards and fun!

Nursery

Providing safe and healthy child-care for infants and toddlers is an important part of Maranatha’s family-friendly church. Your infants and toddlers receive loving care and attention in the nursery during all of the services. “Mommy-pagers” give you peace of mind to know that the Nursery staff can contact you anytime during the services.

Ladies’ Fellowship

In addition to an active calendar of special projects and events, the Ladies’ Fellowship of the church holds monthly meetings for encouragement and prayer. These meetings are open to all women.

Outreach

We desire to tell the message of God’s love to every person in our community and beyond. The Bus Ministry is a local outreach to the area. Three bus/van routes pick up children and adults for the Sunday morning and Wednesday services. On Tuesday Visitation the church family visits in the community with the message of the gospel.

Missions

We take very seriously our Lord’s command to “go into all the world and preach the gospel.” Our church provides regular prayer and financial support to forty-two missionary projects around the world. Examples of these would be: the Loftis family, planting churches in Australia; the Pauley’s, planting churches in Canada; and the Drust family, planting churches in Albania.
